Is anybody else excited at the mere thought of warmer weather? Snow might still be threatening the DC area, but we're looking forward to all of the fun things to do this month that mean getting out of the house and even occasionally enjoying some of the countryside. Here are our top five events around the area in March.
MARCH 9
Ballroom Dance Class | Salamander Resort
Grab a partner and head to Middleburg to dance the night away at Salamander Resort. Enjoy learning various ballroom dance styles step-by-step.
Astronomy for Everyone | Sky Meadows State Park
Enjoy an evening of space exploration with a "Junior Astronomer" program, hear about the importance of dark skies and light conservation, then join volunteer Ambassadors of NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab for a presentation on the latest in the United States' space research. Afterward, get oriented to the celestial skies with a brief sky tour, then take advantage of Sky Meadows' dark skies by looking at deep space objects through telescopes provided.

Make plans to head to MacDowell's Brew Kitchen for a pre-St. Patrick's Day bash, featuring a double billing on stage with a lucky pair of great bands: "All In" & "The Crown Jewels". You'll feel the Luck o' Irish with rock music & green beer flowing inside and campfires burning outside.

Middleburg HEALth Fair & 5K | Middleburg
This year’s 5K Run and Healthy Eating Active Living Expo is part of the Town of Middleburg’s HEAL program. As a community, Middleburg is fortunate to have a rich trove of local farmers, gardeners, nutritionists, fitness and wellness experts - surrounded by the magnificent countryside of the Virginia Piedmont, which encourages us to eat more healthfully and live more actively.
