Now that the heat wave is behind us (for now), it's time to get back out there for some fun outdoor events - and maybe a few indoor, too. One of the things we love about this area are the plethora of great gatherings that can be found all around Northern Virginia. From food truck festivals to outdoor movies, these are the events we're most looking forward to in August.
World of Food Trucks | Every Other Thursday
Brambleton Plaza | Brambleton
If you haven't been to this fantastic foodie event, you need to! This annual summer event runs every other Thursday from the 3rd week of June until the last week of September. 12 Food Trucks set up along Legacy Park Dr and Olympia Blvd, steps away from the homes of hungry Brambleton residents.

Leesburg's First Friday | August 2
Historic Downtown | Leesburg
Held the first Friday of every month, Leesburg's First Friday lets you fully experience all that Historic Downtown Leesburg has to offer. Specialty shops, art galleries, antique shops and restaurants are open until 9pm or later, many offering free refreshments and/or special sales. Enjoy live music throughout the evening, art exhibits, wine tastings, and more!
