December is here and it’s time for holiday cheer! From Loudoun to Fauquier to Frederick, there are a myriad of fun events to attend with the entire family. Our December Get Local post this month highlights some of our favorites – and you may even see some of our agents and staff at them!
Join the Town of Warrenton for the magical Christmas Parade down Warrenton’s Main Street. There are twinkling lights, fire trucks, pups in costume, trumpets and drums playing the sounds of the holiday, elves with candy, and fireworks!
Rain or shine, Middleburg is the perfect setting for evoking the Christmas spirit — tree lighting, a Christmas parade, shopping, caroling, and so much more. Join us at one of the most fun-filled family festivals of the year in Middleburg with activities, special events, great eats, the famous Middleburg Hunt Review, a mile-long Christmas parade. Feel free to pop by the Open House at our Middleburg office on Washington Street – right in the middle of all the action! If you’re going to miss all the fun, you can tune in to our Facebook Live feed of the parade.
Enjoy caroling and holiday activities including free holiday wagon rides, and festive specials at shops and restaurants all day. Returning for a second year, you can shop at the Old Town Farmers Market – Holiday Market while the kids take part in holiday crafting and meet Santa.

The EatLoco Brambleton Marketplace will be closing for the season on Sunday, November 24th. However, throughout the winter months, farmers Chris & Heather Gorman of Harmony Hill Farm will bring farm-fresh eggs, steaks, pork, chicken, milk, and more to Brambleton! This weekly pop-up indoor marketplace is open, not just the 22nd, but every Sunday, beginning December 1st, from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Check out the first ever Noon Year’s Eve Family Celebration at the Warrenton Community Center which will be the perfect way to celebrate the New Year without having to make it until midnight. The party gets started at 10am and the family can enjoy games, dance to music, and participate in the countdown to the “noon” year. At 12 noon sharp, a balloon drop marks the beginning of 2019 where everyone will toast with sparkling cider.
It’s the first meal of the New Year so do it right with delectable brunch offerings including fresh seafood, prime rib carving station, breakfast favorites and an extravagant dessert display. Keep the party going with bottomless mimosas and Salamander’s elaborate Bloody Mary bar.
