Susan Showalter is part of the management team of Middleburg Real Estate & Atoka Properties, as well as a licensed real estate agent with the Referral Company.

She grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest city of Seattle where she earned an Accounting Degree and held a supervisory position in the same field with the City of Seattle. She went on to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Management and Marketing. In later years, Susan became a licensed teacher in the Loudoun County Public School system and earned a Master’s Degree in Education in addition to the state license.

Some of Susan’s achievements included initiating and implementing a major image transformation for a theatre company in Madison, Wisconsin. Another included successfully designing, coordinating, and managing an exhibit hall for radiology research which was attended by over 5,000 radiologists, nationally and internationally. Having been in roles such as Acting Accountant and Business Manager, she is well versed in managing employees, systems, and processes, along with research writing and creative desktop publishing.

Susan and her family have been in Loudoun County since the early 90’s and enjoy supporting local businesses and start-ups, especially those of great coffee.
