Originally chartered in 1786 by our first president's brother, Charles Washington, Charles Town is now home to over 5,000 residents. Although the town dates way back, it is vibrant and attractive to residents and visitors alike. Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races is what the town is notorious for.
Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races offers a great deal of entertainment for all ages. The horse races are an exciting and suspenseful event that is watched by many spectators Wednesdays-Saturdays. Inside, you will find Skyline Terrace, a restaurant, that overlooks the entire track. As you make your way inside, you will find the casino. The casino is home to many table games and slots. Events and shows such as comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Jay Leno, Nephew Tommy, and Billy Gardell as well as music entertainers, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins, and Tyler Farr, entertain hundreds of people. Free live music is available every Friday and Saturday as you enjoy great cuisine from one of the four restaurants or the food court.
Charles Town will soon be partnering with the Jefferson Arts Council and other allied organizations to plan for the creation of a "Washington Heritage Arts & Culture District". Charles town is a family friendly and spacious living area.
