Prince William County
Just 30 miles away from our nation’s capital and providing an abundance of history, Prince William County serves as one of the most authentic counties in Virginia. It is home to the site of many battles (including one of the biggest battles of the Civil War), the National Museum of the Marine Corps, and will soon be home to the Americans in Wartime Museum. The county offers many tours, walks, and reenactments of what it was like to live during the time of the Civil War. Manassas National Battlefield Park is one of the most popular places to visit because of the great condition that it has been kept in and the rich history that it holds.
Planning a day trip for all ages is simple with endless options to choose from. Jiffy Lube Live, one of the largest outdoor venues in the area, hosts many different exciting events and concerts of all genres year-round. Prince William is also home to Splashdown Waterpark, a hot spot for the warmer summer days, and Potomac Mills – Virginia’s largest outlet mall.
